How Routeco Transformed Warehouse Efficiency with KBins and Pallite

At Routeco, we are always looking for innovative ways to optimise our processes. We’ve recently implemented a brand-new storage and warehouse solution in collaboration with KBins and Pallite, a move that is already transforming how we manage products in our warehouse.
Previously, our warehouse teams relied on small slat bins mounted all along a wall. While functional for a time, this traditional setup lacked the flexibility needed for a growing and dynamic stockholding.
To solve this, we starting working with K Bins and their innovative solution. By breaking down products using volume metrics, we were able to analyse and determine the ideal placement for every item based on its size and turnover.
This new system introduces game-changing benefits by offering unmatched flexibility, allowing us to easily move products around and accommodate new additions without the hassle of unbolting, reshelving, or tearing down heavy racking as we had to do in the past. Furthermore, with an upcoming head office move later this year, the new setup makes logistics a breeze by future-proofing our operations; instead of painstakingly un-stocking every single product, we can simply pick up a pallet at a time, wrap it securely, and transport it straight to the new building.
K Bins has been operating for over 40 years as a premier designer and manufacturer of corrugated cardboard and polypropylene storage solutions.
The storage units are supplied flat-packed, making them quick and easy to assemble. Once in place, the setup improves picking times while maximising stock density for smaller components.
As we expand our product offerings and stock more lines to meet customer demand, rehoming items is effortless, allowing products to easily transition into another KBins solution, onto standard shelving, or straight onto Pallite structures.
Additionally, featuring two-way and three-way dividers, the system accommodates both smaller and larger products seamlessly, giving us the ultimate flexibility to host a diverse range of products.
