A new home for Routeco
Building for the next 25 years.
Routeco is moving to a new, purpose-built head office and distribution centre in Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes - less than two miles from our current site. We've been in our existing building for 25 years. It's served us well, but it wasn't designed for where the business is now: the warehouse is too small and the office space wasn’t built for modern ways of working. We started looking for a new home at the end of 2022 and our internal project team came together in September 2023 to plan logistics and fixtures and fittings.
What's changing

Our more than doubles in size, from its current footprint to 5,000 sqm.

Our moves back alongside our warehouse and head office teams. The head office space is purpose built and used more effectively for teamwork and collaboration.

A dedicated demonstration suite means you can see products in action, and we'll have space to host on-site.
Stock, organised properly.
A better-planned layout and an expanded stock profile make it easier for our teams to work efficiently and easier for us to serve you.
Built around sustainability
The new building targets BREEAM 'Excellent' certification, with: • Solar-generated electricity, reducing reliance on the grid
- An air-source heat pump and rainwater harvesting
- On-site EV charging, both fast and standard
- Recycled-material racking systems, including cardboard pallets, to cut warehouse waste
The grounds have been designed around Shenley Wood itself with native trees, hedgerows and woodland-edge planting selected to support local wildlife, plus swift boxes fitted to the building to help local bird populations. The building's interior takes its colour palette and materials from the same surroundings.
Groundbreaking: 25 September 2025
Routeco's leadership team marked the official start of construction with the ceremonial first dig at the Shenley Wood site.
Cat A finished: 19th July 2026
Moving in Q3 2026
External and internal teams are busy with final fit outs and furniture choices and we’re aiming to be in the new building during Q3 of 2026.
